Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Address Income, Inc (“Address Income,” “we,” “our” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website and online services (collectively, the “Platform”). We are a Nevada-based real estate brokerage and analytics platform, and we are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable privacy laws. By using our Platform or providing us with your information, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use our services.
Scope: This Policy applies to information we collect through our website (including any subdomains like our property search interface) and any related online services or tools we provide. It does not cover information collected in an offline real estate transaction context (for example, during in-person meetings or paper forms, which may be subject to additional privacy notices).
Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, information that is collected automatically as you use our Platform, and information from third parties (in limited cases). The types of information we may collect include:
-
Information You Provide Directly: When you create an account or sign up as a user on our Platform, we may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, and a password. If you fill out a form to contact an agent, request information, or join a mailing list, we will collect the information you submit (which could include your contact details and any other details you choose to provide in your message). For example, if you sign up to receive our Investor Insider updates or request a property analysis, you might provide your email and relevant preferences.
-
Optional Profile Data: We do not currently require users to provide demographic details or financial information in their profile. However, if in the future our Platform allows you to save property preferences, investment criteria, or similar profile information, any data you choose to input will be collected and stored for your use.
-
User Inputs for Analytics: Our Platform offers investment analysis tools (e.g., calculators where you can adjust financing terms, rent estimates, etc.). The values you input (such as loan amount, interest rate, or expense assumptions) may be processed by the Platform to generate results. We generally do not permanently store these personal inputs tied to your identity – they are used on the fly to calculate results for you. If we do store certain scenarios for your convenience (such as saving a calculation for later), it will be associated with your account, and you can delete it at any time.
-
Automatically Collected Information: When you use our website, we automatically collect certain technical information about your visit for security and analytics. This includes:
-
Device and Usage Data: We may log the type of device and browser you use, your IP address, the date and time of your visit, and the pages or features you access. This helps us understand usage patterns and improve our services.
-
Session Cookies: We use essential cookies or similar technologies only for the functioning of the site, such as to keep you logged in during a session or remember your basic settings. We do not use any advertising or third-party analytics cookies at this time. (For example, we do not currently use Google Analytics or any tracking cookies for marketing purposes.) If our practices change in the future, we will update this Policy and notify users as required.
-
-
Information from Third Parties: Currently, we generally do not obtain personal information about you from third-party sources. In the future, if we partner with external services (for example, if you choose to link an account or if a partner (like a lender or real estate affiliate) shares information with us at your request), we will ensure you are informed and that any such data is handled in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers or financial account numbers) through our Platform, and we ask that you do not submit such information through our online services. We also do not knowingly collect any information from children; our services are intended for adults interested in real estate (typically 18 years and older).
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
-
Providing and Improving the Service: We use personal information to operate the Platform’s core functionality. For example, your account information allows you to log in and access Pro analytics features. If you input data into our investment calculators, we use it to compute results and show you property analytics. We also use usage data and feedback to troubleshoot issues, analyze site performance, and make improvements to our tools and user interface.
-
Communications: We may use your contact information (email, phone) to communicate with you:
-
Account and Transactional Communications: to send verification emails, welcome messages, password reset links, and important notices about your account or about changes to our services or policies.
-
Responding to Inquiries: If you ask us a question or request information (for example, contacting an agent about a property, or asking for an investment consultation), we will use your provided information to respond and assist you.
-
Informational Updates and Marketing: If you have opted in (for example, by subscribing to a newsletter or opting to receive investment opportunity updates), we may send you newsletters, market insights, or information about new features. You can opt out of these communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in emails or contacting us. (We do not send spam or unrelated marketing, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.)
-
-
Real Estate Services: As a brokerage, if you become involved in a real estate transaction or request agent services through our Platform, we will use the information you provide to facilitate that process. For instance, if you request to be connected with an Address Income real estate agent, we will use your information to match you with an appropriate agent and share your contact and relevant details with that agent so they can assist you. Any further personal or financial information you provide directly to the agent offline (for example, for a mortgage pre-qualification or a home purchase agreement) will be handled in accordance with real estate laws and likely a separate disclosure.
-
Analytics and Research: Internally, we may use aggregated and de-identified information (that does not identify you personally) to understand user behavior and preferences on our Platform. For example, we might track overall usage of certain features (like how often the calculator is used) to help guide our product development. This data helps us improve our services. These analytics are done in-house at this time, without using external analytics providers that track you across sites.
-
Legal and Security: We may use information as necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Address Income, our users, our employees, or the public. For example, we will use and disclose information if needed to detect and prevent fraud, address technical security issues, or respond to misuse of the Platform. We may also use personal information to comply with applicable legal obligations, such as maintaining records required by real estate regulations or responding to lawful requests by government authorities.
How We Share or Disclose Information
We understand the importance of keeping your personal information private. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for profit – we have never sold personal data, and we have no plans to do so. We only share your information in limited circumstances, as described below:
-
Within Our Organization: Personal information may be shared internally with authorized staff and contracted real estate agents of Address Income who need it to perform their duties (for example, our technology team, customer support, or an agent who you are working with). All such personnel are bound by confidentiality obligations.
-
With Service Providers: We use trusted third-party service providers to help operate our Platform and business, such as website hosting, cloud storage, email delivery, or customer relationship management tools. These service providers process information on our behalf and are contractually obligated to use personal information only to provide services to us and to safeguard it appropriately. For example, if we use an email service to send out our newsletter or transactional emails, your email address will be processed by that service solely for sending our communications.
-
Real Estate Transactions and Referrals: If you explicitly request a service that involves a third party, we will share your information with your consent. For instance, if you ask to be connected to a partner (such as a lending partner for loan quotes, or another brokerage if you are looking in an area outside our service region), we will share the information necessary to fulfill your request. We will make it clear when a third party is involved, and you will have the choice whether to proceed and share your information.
-
Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose personal information when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is required to:
-
Comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request (such as a subpoena or court order).
-
Enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements.
-
Protect the rights, property, or safety of Address Income, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection or investigating security incidents.
-
-
Business Transfers: If we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be among the assets transferred. If such a transfer occurs, we will ensure that the successor entity is bound by terms similar to this Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information, and we will provide notice to users if their personal data is to be handled under a different privacy policy.
Aside from the purposes described above, we will only share your personal information with your consent. For instance, if we ever want to use your testimonial or success story on our website, we would seek your permission.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
As noted earlier, our Platform’s use of cookies and tracking technologies is very limited:
-
We may use a standard session cookie to maintain your login session and preferences. This is a first-party cookie that is necessary for the website to function (for example, to keep you logged in as you navigate the site). It typically expires after you log out or after a short period of inactivity.
-
We do not currently use any third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) or advertising cookies. This means we are not tracking your behavior across other sites and not targeting you with third-party ads.
-
We do not use tracking pixels or social media “like” buttons that share your data with third parties, as of the current version of our Platform.
If in the future we decide to implement analytics or advertising features that use cookies or similar technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any necessary notices or opt-in mechanisms required by law. You will have the ability to manage your cookie preferences at that time.
Most web browsers also allow you to control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Please note, however, that if you disable cookies entirely, some features of our site (like maintaining your login) may not function properly.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information we collect from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include using secure servers, encryption of data in transit (e.g., SSL/TLS on our website), and access controls to restrict who within our organization can access personal data. We also review our security practices periodically to adopt new technologies or methods as needed.
However, no website or internet transmission is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data. You transmit information to us at your own risk. It is important that you also play a role in keeping your information safe; for example, by choosing a strong password for the Platform and keeping your login credentials confidential. If you believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for instance, if you suspect your account has been compromised), please contact us immediately so we can assist.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. In general:
-
Account information is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or it becomes inactive, we may remove or anonymize the information associated with it after a reasonable period, except to the extent we need to retain it for legal obligations or dispute resolution.
-
Communications (like emails or inquiries) are retained as long as needed to address your request and for a short period thereafter in case of follow-up, or longer if required for our records (for instance, real estate regulations may require us to keep certain transactional communications for a set time).
-
Analytical data (which is typically aggregated and not identifying you personally) may be retained for internal use with no specific expiration, since it does not identify users and is used for statistical purposes.
When we no longer have a legitimate need to retain your personal information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
Your Choices and Rights
Managing Your Information: You can review and update certain personal information by logging into your account settings (if such features are available on our Platform). For example, you can change your contact information or password. If you need to update other information not editable in your profile, you may contact us at info@addressincome.com for assistance.
Communication Preferences: If you no longer wish to receive marketing or newsletter emails from us, you can opt out by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in those emails or by contacting us. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you essential account or transaction-related messages (such as password resets or important account notices).
Do Not Sell My Info – Nevada Residents: Nevada law grants Nevada consumers the right to direct a website operator not to sell their personal information. As noted, we do not sell personal information. If you are a Nevada resident and have any questions about our data practices or want to make a formal request that we not sell your info (even though we don’t), you can contact us at our designated request email: privacy@addressincome.com (or info@addressincome.com). Please include “Nevada Do Not Sell Request” in your message. We will respond within the timeframe required by Nevada law.
California Residents: (For completeness, though our services are currently focused in Nevada, we include this notice for any California users.) We do not meet the thresholds for applicability of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as of the date of this Policy. However, we want to uphold high standards of privacy. We do not sell personal information of any users, including California residents. If you are a California resident and you contact us with questions about your personal information, we will do our best to address your inquiry in line with the spirit of California privacy laws (such as providing details on what we have collected or deleting information upon verified request, to the extent feasible). Please use the contact information below to reach us.
Access, Correction, Deletion: Because we operate primarily in Nevada and current Nevada law does not mandate access or deletion rights (aside from the “do not sell” right), we handle these requests on a case-by-case basis as a courtesy. You may contact us to:
-
Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
-
Correction: Ask that we correct or update your information if it is inaccurate or outdated.
-
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information. Keep in mind, certain information may need to be retained for legal reasons (for example, records of a real estate transaction or for security logs).
We will honor access and deletion requests to the extent we can identify the information and are not legally required to keep it. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests to ensure we don’t modify or disclose data to the wrong person.
External Links
Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by Address Income (for example, an article on a blog, or property data sources, or perhaps a mortgage calculator on a partner site). If you click those links, you will be directed to that third party’s site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to external sites, and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any linked third-party websites.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, nor to minors under the age of 18 who are unlikely to be involved in real estate transactions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, do not use this site or provide any information. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us without your consent, please contact us so we can investigate and delete the information.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. If we make material changes to how we handle personal information, we will provide prominent notice (e.g., by placing a notice on our website or notifying registered users via email). The “last updated” date at the top of this Policy will indicate when the latest changes were made. Please review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
Your continued use of the Platform after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Platform and, if applicable, deactivate your account.
